The Affenpinscher is a balanced, wiry-haired terrier-like dog that is in the toy group which makes it a good house pet because of its intelligence and demeanor. Originating in Germany, the name Affenpinscher means, monkey-like terrier. The Affenpinscher is one of the oldest toy breeds. Training must be consistent. This dog learns commands fairly quickly.
Excercise: This breed needs quick, short walks at least three times a day. Regular playtime keeps Affenpinschers happy.
